Narendra Damodhar Modi , Mr development , Mr controversial is all set to win gujarat elections in december if pre polls are to be believed.
According to cnn-ibn poll the narendra modi led bharatiya janta party would win 50% of vote share and though they shied away to give number of seats they are predicting , according to them bjp should get around 120 seats.
India today – ORG poll claims that narendra modi would get 128 seats which is 11 more than 2007 while congress would see decrease in number of seats that they achieved in 2007.
Important point which came out from survey of cnn-ibn is about 2002 riots. Acceptability of narendra modi among minority is all time high. With 23 % muslims claimed that they always liked him in comparison to only 14% as in 2007.
While 23% muslims claimed they never liked him in comparison to 44% who said they never liked him in 2007.
Some interesting finding was on dr manmohan singh in cnn-ibn survey. While in most state approval rating of dr singh is all time low , in gujarat he seems to fare better!!!!!!..His approval rating is 55% as prime minister.
Narendra modi’s approval rating as chief minister is 73% which is good enough considering he is being at helm of affairs since last 10 years which is long time.
Another positive for narendra modi is that 49% want him as chief minister which is 7% higher in comparison to 2007.
The big question which makes nation curious , no matter one loves modi or hates modi or is indifferent to him. The question is about next prime ministership candidature.
While cnn-ibn poll focused strictly on state election. India today -ORG poll did enter into this domain. When asked about prime minister choice among narendra modi , rahul gandhi and nitish kumar. 56% backed narendra modi as prime minister candidate while rahul baba got 35% votes while nitish was non starter in gujarat with mere 2% votes.
But it is good news for congress because getting 35% backing in BJP’s strong hold gujarat is something which would be encouraging for congress . Nehru clan doesnot have much of fan following in gujarat and Dr singh is more repected than nehru clan.
Coming back to gujarat elections , so according to pre poll survey of two giants media group ,narendra modi is winning elections 2012 and that too in big way.
If pre poll survey proves right , Narendra modi would play important role in general elections 2014 and in NDA. All eyes are set on december election results which would come on 20th december as gujarat would go on polls in dec 13th and dec 17th 2012.
